Capt. Ahmed Moursy is the Head of Maritime Transport Department and a Faculty member in the Sharjah Maritime Academy (SMA). Capt. Ahmed Moursy obtained Degree of Master of Science in Maritime Affairs in Maritime Safety & Environmental Administration, from World Maritime University-Malmo-Sweden, 2009. He is a competent Senior Maritime Lecturer and has a lot of managerial experience as (Marine Merchant Officer, Assistant Dean, Head of Student Life Department and currently as Head of Maritime Transport Department) with 27 years of experience in the field of Maritime Education with a particular focus on teaching, education management and leadership. Capt. Ahmed Moursy is a student-oriented leader who works on empowering students and improving their knowledge, skills and competency while preparing them for the Maritime Industry. Capt. Ahmed Moursy has strong experience in managing and leading academic departments.
Capt. Ahmed Moursy in 2014, has designed and compiled the new curriculum for the newly introduced bachelor’s degree specialization in “Safety and Environmental protection”, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. 2005, participated in developing and updating the “Guided Sea Training Guide for Deck Cadets”, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. In 2006, wrote and compiled the “Planned Sea Training Book for Deck Cadets”, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
