Ibtihal Ahmed is an Electrical Lab instructor at the Maritime Engineering technology Department of the Sharjah Maritime Academy. Technical work experience is on the radio network optimization for Sabal Telecom Solutions Company Ltd for five years.  

She earned her M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE, in 2019. Her master's thesis focused on "Video Streaming over D2D Network." During her graduate studies, she worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering for two years. Following her master's, she worked as a Research Assistant at the American University of Sharjah from 2019 to 2020.

She holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which she obtained from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, in 2014.
