Prof Aldajah has more than fourteen years’ experience in the academic leadership positions at well-known Universities in the United Arab Emirates. Currently he is the Executive Dean of the Engineering Technology and Science Faculty at the Higher Colleges of Technology supervising more than 350 Faculty members in thirteen Engineering programs with more than 5000 enrolled Students distributed over 15 campuses across the UAE. . He is demonstrating a unique experience in building programs in Applied Engineering education to provide the country with the necessary workforce that are able to contribute positively in human capacity building for many local industries. His work in developing the unique training is strongly recognized not only by peers but also by the industry.  His previous affiliations includes Argonne National Laboratories in Chicago Illinois where he worked as a Research Associate in the Advanced Materials/Tribology Section for four years. During these four years, Prof Aldajah engaged with the USA industry through the development of tribology solutions for rotating and sliding contact equipment, he was engaged in projects with General Motors, Detroit Diesel Company, Tranergy, Timkens, Canadian Railroad Research Center, Department of Energy and Department of Defense. Thereafter, he joined the United Arab Emirates University in 2004 as an Assistant Professor. In 2009, He was promoted to an Associate Professor rank and was appointed as the Director of the Engineering Materials Graduate Program. In 2014, Prof. Aldajah chaired the Electromechanical Engineering Technology (EMET) department at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic (ADPoly), he worked with ADNOC, ADWEA, EGA, Mubadala, Tawazun and many other UAE industries to develop twelve engineering qualifications based on the UAE industrial job profiles and in accordance to the UAE framework. The twelve Qualifications were endorsed by the National Qualification Center (NQC).

Professor Aldajah is a profound expert in the areas of Advanced Materials, Tribology and Nanotechnology. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003. His research work has led to more than 66 publications. He has licensed three patents in the area of Carbon Nanotube development. Prof. Aldajah was able to demonstrate an edge in his scientific contribution by recently securing a number of grants that were awarded based on internationally peer-reviewed process. He served on the editorial board for more than a dozen international journals. He also chaired and attributed in many international conferences locally and internationally.
