About Course:
This course covers the requirements of the STCW Convention and Code. On meeting the minimum standard of competence in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats, a trainee will be competent to operate life-saving appliances and take charge of survival craft or rescue boat during or after launch.

Course Objectives:
This course aims to provide training for candidates in command, organize and train fire parties and control fire-fighting operations. in accordance with Section A-VI/2 of the STCW Code. For advanced safety training and instruction.
Course Information:
• Trainee will be competent to operate life-saving appliances.
• Take charge of survival craft or rescue boat during or after launch.
• They will also be able to operate a survival craft engine.
• Manage survivors and survival crafts after abandoning ship.
• Trainees will know the correct use of all locating devices, including communication, and signaling
devices and pyrotechnics,
• How to apply first aid to survivors. (Casualty handling.)
• Actions to take to preserve the lives of those in their charge.
• Musters, drills and abandonment.
• Types and operation of craft, their equipment, and davits including on/off load release.
• Practical boat handling (oars and power)
• Man overboard.
